what should I wear

how many guests can ride on one sled
Each of our sleds comfortably seats 1 Adult guest, 1 Adult with 2 small children, or 1 Adults with a toddler or smaller child riding on their lap.
is it cold

Not really, Each of our sleds is rigged with a sled bag. A wind proof, zip-up bag our Guests sit inside that protects them from the elements. We also have soft, cozy blankets for you to wrap up in, and thick comfortable cushions for you to sit on.
what if its bad weather

We run in the snow, rain, and cold weather. Guests are encouraged to prepare accordingly. We reserve the right to cancel tours if we deem the elements to be unsafe or unfit for the sled dogs, staff, or guests. This includes but is not limited to extreme cold, unsafe trail conditions, and/or lack of snow. Guests will be issued a full refund or may reschedule their tour if they choose.
Guests are encouraged to keep an eye on the local weather for Rexford Mt. surrounding the date/time of their Tour. Guests are welcome to reschedule for weather in accordance with our cancellation and rebooking policies.
What kind of dogs do you have

Our Sled dogs are mostly Alaskan Huskies with some rescues. Alaskan Huskies are the most common dog utilized in the world of dog sledding. They have quick, efficient gaits and remarkable strength for their size! Alaskan Huskies are not bred for their appearances like their relatives the Siberian Huskies, their size, eye color, and coat color, and length can vary from dog to dog.
where do you get your dogs
While some of our dogs come to us as rescues many of them have a family line that goes back to our very first dogs. We also take in retired race dogs.
do you adopt out dogs

Yes but only occasionally Our Dogs are our Family, they happily retire and live out the rest of their days here with us.
how many dogs will be pulling the sled
That depends on weight of each passenger and trail conditions. Our teams usually consist of 6-10 dogs.
do the dogs like sledding is it cruel
These dogs love work! They are bred for dog sledding, conditioned and trained for the work, and if they didn’t show an absolute love for it, they would be home next to our wood stove.
Can i take pictures of the dogs
Yes of course, and you can even go see the dogs before the ride and take a selfie with them to get better acquainted! So, don’t forget to take your smartphone or a camera with you.
Are there age restrictions for children
We require an adult to accompany any children under 14 The minimum age required to ride on a dog sled is 2 years, of age. Children this young must, of course, be accompanied by a parent.
can dogs get hurt
The dogs can get hurt if they get into scraps, and the pads on their paws can get injured on the ice. The guides are very experienced and know how to deal with these kinds of rare problems. With regard to a possible passenger accident, you’re already insured for this activity and once you’re sitting in the sled, there’s very little that could happen to you.
how long does the adventure last
Everything depends on the package you decide to choose. The excursions vary according to the length of the route, so it can last anywhere between 45 minutes to 5 hours.
